UNICEF: 4.1 million doses of the vaccine will arrive in Viet Nam in March and April

UNICEF’s goal is to make every effort to bring vaccines quickly and safely to Viet Nam. This campaign is not only to provide medical support to Vietnam, but also contributes to the recovery of Vietnam’s economy, due to the effects of the pandemic.

Ms. Rana Flowers shared, she is very proud to witness the first Covid-19 vaccinations in Vietnam. Over the past 75 years, UNICEF has always contributed to improving health systems, as well as supporting expanded immunization programs across countries.

During this COVID-19 pandemic, UNICEF is urgently negotiating with companies to ensure that 2 billion doses of vaccine can reach 92 poor and low-income countries through the COVAX mechanism. In addition, UNICEF is also working with 10 airlines to be able to deliver these batches of vaccines for free.

To be able to ensure vaccination campaigns like these require the efforts of all relevant organizations involved in the transport, storage and organization of vaccination campaigns.
